Inspired by !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! , what cars would you be looking for as your next daily driver?
Personally, I really want something with an Alfa V6 and a rear transaxle. Ideally, I'd love a GTV6, but realistically a 75 would be closer to my price range.
Either that or a Rover SD1/P6 V8. I could swap in a tuned fuel injected RV8 and be sitting at 220bhp in a ~1300-1400kg car quite nicely. The other two options would be a Citroen BX with a modern 2.2 HDi turbodiesel or this rather nice !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! :)
Before you ask, yes I do plan on daily driving these. No I'm not crazy, no I don't love being stranded at the side of the road and STOP LAUGHING!
Wildcard 5th option: !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!!

Arguably, you could own all 4 and daily drive one of them while the other 3 are in the shop.

Next car will probably be a
944
Or
RX-7
Or
Miata
Or
GTV6 IF I can find one

That's remarkably close to the current plan :) the only difference is that 'in the shop' is replaced by 'in the queue to be fixed by yours truly'

Currently DDing an FR-S, and likely will be for awhile still.
Next will likely be a small pickup or SUV, possibly diesel depending on how these new diesel models that are coming out perform. Or, if I get a substantial enough raise, I'm thinking a Cayman would make a nice replacement for the FR-S (which would then assume track car duties).
As nice as the regular female company of a GF would be, I may need to stay single... lol

'GTV6 if I can find one'
You and me both :) I saw one go for £2750 the other day, running and on the road, minor rust (par for the course). Utter steal. One of those moments where I really rue not having any money at the moment.

Depending on finances either a Panda 100hp or a Fiesta ST. Or if I somehow get much richer a blue Focus ST estate with recaros.

Damn that's a deal!
I let a 2000 GTV slip through my fingers for $16k because I didn't have the cash... now they're going for over $30k..

2005 Chevy Aveo, but it's a stick! also free. ( my parents want rid of it and my current car is rusting out so bad I don't want to go through another winter with it
next car I'll buy will be a WRX next spring/summer or as soon as I stop being cheap

I can't see getting rid of my Crosstrek for probably the next ten years or so. If I was to get another vehicle though, I'd probably lean towards a Mazda 6. Or a Mini Cooper.

My next DD will hopefully be a Volvo C30, with a stick of course. I don't know why, but I love these cars.

I've been really annoyed at 2000 GTV prices. They've tracked my earnings with pinpoint accuracy: when I could stump up £1500 they were £4000, when I could stump up £4000 they were £8000, and now when I could just about stump up £8000 they're £20,000 :(
I'm still kicking myself for not getting a project GTV6 (reasonable condition, but non-running) with a 3.3l Autodelta V6. Sold for £2150 .

I drive a bunch of different cars for my jerb. Without doubt, my next one will be one of these:
Preferably black or white, and with the Si badges and spoiler removed — maybe replaced with the one from the hybrid.
The hybrid spoiler is much cleaner:

I have wanted to get a nice, clean, barely modified EG Civic for DD duties for years now.
But the truth is I really dont need 2 cars.
Still, 350Z and EG Civic, how much of a ricer am I?

My next DD is many years off, like 7-8, I'm very happy with the SHO. Depending on gas prices at that time, I have my eye on a few things, Chevy SS Manual, ATS RWD Manual, perhaps Lincoln will have a RWD sedan by that time that I can buy used? Basically Manual, RWD, sedan is what I'm looking for.
Sometime sooner I'd like to get some kind of convertible, perhaps a 70's Mercedes.

back in the day when I was going I had a 98 Nissan 200sx E series couple with a 1.6L. The reason I got it because it was cheap and it 40mpgs. It was blue and has aftermarket wheels. Drove great in all conditions, snow was great to drive in because my ultra low torque kept the tires from spinning out. I traded it in to get my wife an actual beige Camry... I'm a dumbass.
As a daily driver I would totally pick one of those again probably would go with the SE-R with a 2.0L for some extra balls.

Possibly an Audi S4 if I can find one in a color I like with a 6MT. I'm planning on keeping 335xi for at least a few more years. If I was gonna buy anything, it would be a fun second car, like an E34 M5 or an E36 M3.

I've always thought the Ford Ka was a great design. Not one I'd buy, but they'll age very well I reckon.
I remember seeing a picture of one with a 2.0l Cosworth I4 and RWD. Now that is a beast I'd like to drive :)

Hmmm, that is much better. I'm not a fan of big showy spoilers.
The hybrid one is probably a lot less draggy, and I doubt the Si one does anything for downforce so you'd be up on style and performance :)

Hmmmm, maybe a Gc8 or WRX or if I felt crazy, a rat rod. It rained literally 4 days this year, so that's not an issue. I think it would be fun

I just got my Mustang, so I won't be switching DDs until I graduate college, but when I do I'm getting either a 2002 WRX STi Wagon or a 1970s VW Vanagon. For some reason, I couldn't get my photos to work, so you'll have to use your imaginations.

Neat :) which Mustang, and good choices for a replacement.
The photos thing is something that Gawker's doing to temporarily stop some people who keep posting disgustingly violent gifs as replies to comments. Hopefully it'll be temporary.

Thanks for explaining about the pictures. Glad that they're doing something about that. My Mustang's an 06 Fastback, clear veil blue with tan stripe (very rare color combo). I've got it all fancied up with quarter window louvres, Bullitt rims, aftermarket exhaust and a hood scoop.
